Armatage Candle Company was born of curiosity. A chance to prove that luxury candles are profit margins built on perception. As true as that may be, so much more was found behind the veil of the industry.

This is a community of thousands of makers with a common goal to create humble little lights that serve as artifacts of crafting accomplishments, tributes to someones memory, beautiful centerpieces, activities to do with others, or as remarkable gifts.

And so the mission for Armatage Candle Company transformed into education. To lift this corner of the world and enable the uncountable moments a candle brings to people’s lives. Armatage Candle Company is aimed at making candles, yes, but to be a voice and a resource for those who want to make candles.

Candles are amazing. A tiny little combustion machine so carefully made to balance fire, oxygen, and fuel.

And so many people are making them. Constantly learning, but sometimes falling with so many questions. The ones that rise out of it do so with answers forged by an attitude of persistence.

The journey of a candle maker is one of constant learning built on many failures. Those that succeed use failure as a temporary place to learn more about how NOT to make a candle.
